"Data journalism is an emerging area of practice and study, which draws on knowledge from several disciplines, including journalism, information science, social sciences, data and computer sciences, data analytics, information design, and storytelling. Having been built on the foundations of precision journalism, data journalism promotes a fact-based and scientific approach to journalism."
